The Endowment Fund Committee has broad authority under the by-laws to invest the assets of the Fund.    The Committee takes this responsibility very seriously, so they chose the Virginia Baptist Foundation (VBF) as the investment manager for the Fund.  VBF specializes in prudent investing of church endowment funds, donor advised funds and other trusts established by and for the benefit of Virginia Baptists.   The Endowment Fund Committee has the ability to determine the investment mix of fixed income and equity securities through various investment funds offered by VBF.    The Committee reviews the investment results and risk profile on a quarterly basis.
